Background

Managing events for Greek life organizations can be complicated, with disorganized guest lists, fragmented communication, and inconsistent ticketing methods. The goal is to streamline how organizations plan events, invite members and other chapters, and manage attendance while ensuring smooth coordination and compliance with risk policies.

Stakeholders

Our primary stakeholders are consumers and businesses involved in online shopping. To understand consumer behavior and ad influence, we conducted contextual inquiries with diverse participants, including frequent shoppers and environmentally conscious individuals.

Findings

  1. Ads appeared approximately every 7-10 videos on TikTok.

  2. Frequent exposure to ads drove impulsive purchases with little to no consideration for environmental impact.

  3. Most consumers overlooked sustainability and were influenced by trends and convenience.

  4. Eco-conscious consumers actively researched products and company practices before making purchases.

simplify event planning and attendance management for Greek life organizations in a way that is organized and compliant with risk policies?

Solution

A social event platform designed for Greek organizations. Offering full chapter management, allowing organizations to put members into subgroups like pledge classes, alumni, etc. Organizations can invite other chapters to events and select specific members or subgroups to attend.

Each attendee receives a digital ticket through Apple or Google Wallet, which can be redeemed with a quick tap at the door. The platform also includes guest list management, real-time attendance tracking, and built-in risk management tools to ensure safe and well-organized events.
